A virtual public program given by Steph Stronsick, Founder/Executive Director, Pennsylvania Bat Rescue, for Washington Crossing Audubon Society on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 8:00 PM.

Participants will dive into the mysterious world of bats by learning why bats are vital to the health of our ecosystem, their natural history, species diversity and how to protect our backyard bats. Learn how backyard conservation is important for the survival of Pennsylvania bats. Meet some of our education bats and learn how Pennsylvania Bat Rescue is helping to save Pennsylvania bats.

Steph volunteered at Project Wildlife based in San Diego, California. There she helped initiate rescuing bats as part of their protocol. Soon after, Steph began volunteering at the San Diego Natural History Museum as a collection data analyst for the San Diego Mammals Atlas, preservation of bat specimens, and field assistant. After relocating to her home state of Pennsylvania, she worked as an associate field biologist for Bat Conservation and Management. In 2012 she began establishing Pennsylvania Bat Rescue.
