राष्ट्रीय पशुधन मिशन योजना में भेड़-बकरी, चारा, मुर्गी, चारा, सुअर पालन के लिए केंद्र सरकार रूपये 25 लाख से लेकर 50 लाख रूपये सब्सिडी मिलती है।
1. मुर्गी पालन के लिए रूपये 25 लाख सब्सिडी मिलती है।
2. भेड़-बकरी पालन के लिए रूपये 30 लाख सब्सिडी मिलेगी।
3. चारा केंद्र के लिए रूपये 50 लाख सब्सिडी मिलेगी।
मिशन के प्रमुख परिणाम आहार और चारे की मांग और उपलब्धता में अंतर को कम करना, स्वदेशी नस्लों का संरक्षण और सुधार करना, सतत् और पर्यावरण के अनुकूल तरीके से उच्च उत्पादकता और उत्पादन, विशेष रूप से वर्षा वाले क्षेत्रों में और भूमिहीन, छोटे और सीमांत किसानों के लिए आजीविका के अवसरों में वृद्धि करना, जागरूकता में वृद्धि करना, जोखिम कवरेज में सुधार करना और उपभोक्ताओं को गुणवत्तापूर्ण बेहतर पशु उत्पाद उपलब्ध कराना, पशु पालकों का समग्र सामाजिक-आर्थिक उत्थान करना है।

Under the National Livestock Mission Scheme, the central government provides subsidy ranging from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh for sheep-goat, fodder, poultry, fodder and pig rearing.
1. A subsidy of Rs 25 lakh is available for poultry farming.
2. A subsidy of Rs 30 lakh is available for sheep and goat rearing.
3. Rs 50 lakh subsidy will be given for the fodder centre.
Key outcomes of the Mission are to reduce the gap in demand and availability of feed and fodder, conservation and improvement of indigenous breeds, higher productivity and production in a sustainable and environment-friendly manner, especially in rainfed areas and among landless, small and marginal farmers. The objective is to enhance livelihood opportunities for farmers, increase awareness, improve risk coverage and provide quality superior animal products to consumers, leading to overall socio-economic upliftment of animal farmers.
