Got over a 1,300,000 views on this video in a few days with another link.
It is the oddest thing being an impersonator/tribute artist. Let alone for one of the most famous personalities in the world, in his own country, in his own city, in the most popular section of town on a nice days during tourist season. I mostly want to have some fun with people as one would an "Elvis" impersonator.
I didn't make this video nor was I the original poster of it, but saw that it had over a million views, nearly 25,000 likes, and 2.4 thousand comments. Sharing it. Downloaded it, of course. I don't post any of my videos as a tribute artist with Bono's name in it unless it's in quotation marks symbolizing that it's to be questioned, so, I'm a getting a little blow back by people who don't know me. Rarity, but I've done it. 43 years of hearing the look alike comments is plenty.
It's just bizarre what kind of world we live in. It's a beautiful place and a very complex place. We love from within and we love outwardly in such a way that we create extraordinary emotions of circumstances out of our reach. The opposite is true too.
So, the Irish Rock & Roll Museum in Dublin hired me a few days to draw attention to their museum and lead people back. And I walked down the end of the short street to the most popular corner to take photos with people for a few minutes and direct them to the museum. Notice the first selfie(video) as people start to gather as if it's okay to do one as well.
For utility purposes over the years, I've learned how to do selfies quite rapidly. With some of these people, I'd do videos of and others I'd just take photos. Some people go a little goo goo, others compliment me on my resemblance, others say they're going to brag to their friends to make them jealous that "they met Bono". Some ask me if I'm Bono's half brother (Bono came out recently with the news he had a half brother). I get a lot (most) of people posting that they were actually with Bono himself. Others ask me if I'm Bono and I tell them I'm a look alike....most don't believe me. They just get caught up in the moment. No harm no foul.
Looked at this video and it had a million plus views and I'm besides myself. What an odd time we live in.
Really.....I don't know what to say.
