RS Chairman Dhankhar bursts into laughter as ‘Jaya Amitabh Bachchan’ asks him, “Aapko lunch mila?”

Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on August 02 shared a light moment in Rajya Sabha where the former introduced herself as ‘Jaya Amitabh Bachchan’ and asked RS chairman whether he had taken lunch break or not? The SP MP and VP’s brief interaction evoked laughter in the Rajya Sabha.
She further asked Jagdeep Dhankhar, “Sir didn’t you get lunch break? That’s why you are taking Jairam Ramesh’s name repeatedly. I think without mentioning him your food doesn’t get digested.”
Replying to Jaya Bachhan’s funny jibe, the VP said, “I didn’t get lunch break but I had lunch with Jairam Ramesh…”
Further adding to this, he said, “This is the first time when I can say that I am fan of both Amitabh ji and you. I haven’t met any other couple like you two. On a lighter note, I am a very consistent person and my past is a proof of it.”
Notably, Veteran actor and politician Jaya Bachchan’s recent appearance in parliament has drawn significant attention as on July 29 Jaya Bachchan objected to Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh addressing her as “Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan.” Samajwadi Party MP pointed out that instead of taking her actor-husband's name, she could have been called just ‘Jaya Bachchan’.
