The Golden Mount Temple • Bangkok [ 4K ] Wat Saket • Thailand Walking Tour

The full name for this temple is Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan, but is known locally at Wat Sakae. The Golden Mount is an artificial hill constructed within the grounds of Wat Sakae. This Mount dates back to the 19th Century.

The Golden Mount offers great views over the city - probably the best time to head hear is early morning when the sun is low in the sky. The compound is usually open from 7am every day.

There are over 300 steps to the top of the mount which stands at 77 meters tall.

One of the easiest ways to travel here is by express boat which transports passengers frequently along Khlong Saen Saep.
