Hi, welcome to Deaf Talks News.

You all might be aware of the recent decision, the "One Country, One Election" .

This was made by the Union Cabinet, which accepted the report from a committee led by former President Ram Nath Kovind.

This proposal aims to synchronize elections across the country.

However, many political leaders and parties have voiced strong opposition to this idea.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the concept is impractical.

He suggested it serves as a distraction from ongoing political controversies.

CPM central committee member Thomas Isaac also opposed the decision.

He said that the NDA lacks the majority needed to amend the constitution.

He said that If no one gets a majority in a state, they will have to wait until the next election without conducting a by-election.

A total of 42 political parties shared their views with the Kovind Committee, with 35 supporting the decision.

However, major opposition parties including Congress, CPI, CPM, AAP, and NCP disagreed.

They pointed out that this move could diminish the role of regional parties and increase central authority.

What do you think about this "One Country, One Election" concept?

Is it positive or negative ? comment below.
