Crossing the Nullarbor as a solo female traveller PART 1!

Описание к видео Crossing the Nullarbor as a solo female traveller PART 1!

Day one and two of my trip across the Nullarbor! I was up and going before sunrise, leaving Perth for Norseman as my first lay over. The weather wasn't great with pretty much constant light rain, however there wasn't any wind which is always good when driving a high top van.

I prefer to stay in caravan parks when in unfamiliar places, as a solo female traveller I feel safer. Given it was only a loose plan I had of where I wanted to stop, I didn't book any sites. I was lucky to grab the last spot at the Acclaim Gateway Caravan Park just as the gentleman was closing the gate. The facilities were old but they were clean enough and the showers were nice and hot.

Day two I was aiming for Eucla, there was a little less rain and it was nice to stretch my legs out in the bush. I was shocked at how amazing the Eucla caravan park was, I was able to pick my own spot and back up to an amazing view overlooking the ocean. It was $30 per night plus $1 for every 5-10 minutes in the shower, but the cost for the showers was worth it!

All in all it was a good start to the trip, the roads were easy to drive on and the truck drivers were helpful indicating when it was safe to overtake.
