Material Optimization using Color ID Maps (Blender/Unity/Substance Painter 2)

Описание к видео Material Optimization using Color ID Maps (Blender/Unity/Substance Painter 2)

A short overview of Color ID Maps, what they are, and why they help optimize material use when working with the 3D texturing program Substance Painter. Color ID Maps allow you to choose where to place a texture based on a certain color assigned to a model. Hence, you are able to use one material whilst adding multiple textures to it in Substance Painter. This results in less draw calls in Unity, since less materials are present in the scene. This helps to optimize your game performance!
