ZipTenna design has changed slightly. The plastic quick release part has been replaced with a much stronger metal component which is not a quick release but will extend the lifespan of the ZipTenna as well as more reliably protect your handheld radio from accidental drops.

To test the improved signal strength with the new design simply attach the ZipTenna to your handheld radios lanyard connection point and pull the ZipTenna downward as you hold your radio stationary.
