On February 28th, 2001. The quiet village of Great Heck was thrusted onto the national stage as it became the scene of the deadliest rail disaster to occur in the United Kingdom in the 21st century. It follows a string of rail incidents over the past number of years preceding that occurred up and down the country. In this video we’re going to examine the chain of events in this particular incident which goes back several hours before the disaster in what people came to know as the Selby Rail Crash.
