ABOUT THE BAND

Punk band from Peterlee, County of Durham, England.
It rapresents one of the best examples of UK'82 second wave of punk, due to their sound and lyrics, featured their attitude and style.
The group started under the name Demented in 1980 with Dave Cook on guitar, Stu Henderson on bass and Stephen "Steppa" Thompson on vocals... They changed their name to Uproar after the death of Steppa in 1981... The new formation was composed by members: Stu Henderson (vocals 1981-85), Dave Cook (guitar 1981-84), Barry "Baz" Gordon (bass 1981-84), Ian "Goic" Gordon (drums 1981-83) and Gavin Scollen (drums 1984-85), then Woody (bass 1985).
They recorded three EPs and two ful-lenght albums from 1982 to 1985.
After that short activity period the band have been in a long hiatus and reformed again after 12 years, recording two studio LP albums, an EP and a collection, between 2017 and 2021.
