Nikon P950 - Major Launch or Major Disappointment?

Single-lens cameras that can capture great landscapes, as well as wildlife, were once hard to come by. Also commonly known as 'Bridge' cameras, a significant leap in quality when Nikon released the P900 and later, the technically superior P1000.

In general, Nikon's bridge cameras offer users a lot more range than other brands' in the market. The reason being, that Nikon lenses boast an 83x zoom whereas the standard elsewhere is around 50-60x. It makes a significant difference for those in need of a little extra reach.

For those who didn't like the look of the P1000, for whatever reason, or found it was just too expensive, Nikon recently revealed the P950. We'll call it a 'mid-upgrade'.

The P950 arrives as a modernised P900. From what we can figure, to fit with the current expectations of today's cameras and from Nikon's systems.
