20 essential Thai verbs for daily use. [intermediate level]

1. แวะ (wáe) = to stop by or visit somewhere or someone.
2. หยิบ (yìb) = to pick up or to take an object.
3. ใช้ (chái) = to use or to spend, to use a device or a machine.
4. ทำ (tam) = to do, to make, or to create something.
5. หา (hǎa) =to find or to look for something.
6. โทร (to) = to call on the phone.
7. ให้ (hâi) = to give, to let, or to send to.
8. ล้าง (láang) = to wash and to clean something such as the bathroom, vegetables and dishes.
9. ซัก (sák) = to wash or launder and it can be used only for clothes, shoes, towels, rugs or anything that you have to hand wash or put in a washing machine.
10. รู้สึก (róo-sùek) =to feel or to feel an emotion.
11. มี (mee) =there is, there are, have and has in Thai.
12. เจอ (jer) = to meet or to find.
13. วาง (waang) = to put or to paste, to place something.
14. จำ (jam) = to remember, memorise or recognise.
15. รอ (ro) = to wait.
16. เชื่อ (chûa) = to believe, to trust or to have faith in something or someone.
17. ยืม (yuem) = to borrow but if you say ให้ยืม it means to lend.
18. เปิด (bpérd) = to open something​ or to turn on an electronic device.
19. ปิด (bpìd) =close and turn off
20. เก็บ (gèb) = to keep, to store or to collect something.
