Jammu & Kashmir Police launched coordinated pre-dawn raids across the Valley targeting the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) network. Dozens of properties belonging to top JeI leaders and sympathizers were stormed in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Shopian as authorities moved to choke funding and revival attempts of the outfit, which has been banned since 2019 for terror links. Sources reveal the raids uncovered incriminating documents, digital devices, and cash, exposing how JeI has been secretly rebuilding its cadre and financial channels under the garb of social work.

This is the biggest operation against the group since its ban under UAPA, signaling zero tolerance for any attempt to resurrect separatist infrastructure in Kashmir. With Assembly elections barely over and normalcy returning, the message is brutal and clear: any organization or individual trying to revive banned terror-linked networks will be crushed before they take root.
