This is what The Beach Boys' Heroes and Villains might have sounded like as the sprawling, playful musical comedy Brian Wilson wanted to make. Back are the casualties of Brian Wilson’s splice-and-dice editing process: Barnyard, You are my Sunshine, I'm in Great Shape, Vege-tables, Vega-table Fade, All Day, Bicycle Rider, Do You Like Worms. The result is obviously not historically accurate in any sense-- could you imagine The Beach Boys releasing a 19-minute single in 1967…? I GUESS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! (Note: YouTube has removed some audio due to copyright claims, sorry!)
