Dance Moms is an unscripted reality television program. The show follows a group of "Moms" and their daughters, the latter performing in the world of young competitive dance as instructed by the controversial Abby Lee Miller. The program was largely filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Abby Lee Dance Company until the fifth season, where the show relocated to the ALDC LA studio in Los Angeles, California.
Dance Moms is produced by Collins Avenue Productions, and broadcast by Lifetime Television.
The show premiered on July 13, 2011 and ran for seven seasons before initially concluding on November 7, 2017. The show was later renewed in July 2018, with an eighth season premiering on June 4, 2019.
In May 2020, Miller announced on Instagram that she has chosen to leave Dance Moms and Lifetime after nine years.
1. Areana Lopez
Areana Evani Lopez (born May 21, 2005) is a dancer from K2 Studios in Apple Valley, California. Her mother is Sari Lopez.
Areana made her debut on Dance Moms as part of the ALDC mini team in the sixth season. She remained on the show until the following season, where the mini team was disbanded and she was dismissed.
2.Alysa
Alysa Rain Owen (born March 9, 2006) is a dancer from Las Vegas, Nevada. She was formerly a dancer on the ALDC Mini Team. Her mother is Mary Owen.
3.Elliana
Elliana Kathryn Walmsley (born June 23, 2007) is a dancer from Boulder, Colorado. Her mother is Yolanda Walmsley.
Elliana first featured on Dance Moms as part of the ALDC Mini Team in Season 6. However, after the disbandment of the mini team, she joined the elite team in the following season.
Elliana and her mother remained on the show until the disbandment of the elite team in Everyone's Replaceable... Even Abby. She later returned to the show in Yolanda's Back before leaving again in Hannah Unmasked.
4.Alexus Oladi
Alexus Oladi (born July 4, 2007) is a dancer from Millennium Dance Complex SLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her mother is Tiffanie Oladi.
Alexus made her debut on Dance Moms as part of the ALDC Mini Team in the sixth season. She remained on the show until the following season, where the mini team was disbanded and she was dismissed.
5.Kendyl
Kendyl Lynn Fay (born February 25, 2008) is a dancer from the Orange County Performing Arts Academy in Anaheim, California. She was formerly a dancer on the ALDC Mini Team. Her mother is Lynn Fay.
6.Lilliana
Lilliana Belle Ketchman (born June 23, 2008) is a dancer from Campaneria Ballet School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Her mother is Stacey Ketchman.
She first featured on Dance Moms as part of the ALDC Mini Team in the second half of Season 6. However, after the disbandment of the mini team, Lilliana joined the elite team in the following season.
Lilliana and her mother returned to the show for Season 8.
7.Peyton
Peyton Kaye Evans (born February 17, 2009) is a dancer from The Company, SLC in Tooele, Utah. Her mother is Kerri Evans.
Peyton made her debut on Dance Moms as part of the ALDC Mini Team in the sixth season. She remained on the show until the following season, where she and her mother decided to quit. She was the youngest dancer on the team.
