Simple Liver cyst || Enlarge prostate || Practical case
Liver: Normal in size. Homogeneous parenchymal echo pattern. Intrahepatic biliary channels are not dilated. Intrahepatic vessels appear normal.
A 2.68 cm anechoic cyst is noted in the right lobe of the liver, segment 6. The cyst is well-defined, with thin walls, and demonstrates posterior acoustic enhancement.
There are no internal echoes or septations, and no associated flow is detected on color Doppler imaging.
Gall bladder: Normal in size and contour. Wall thickness is within normal limits.
No Evidence of echogenic structures or biliary sludge is seen within the gallbladder. Intrahepatic biliary radicals and common ducts are not dilated.
The internal diameter of CBD and the portal vein are within normal limits.
Pancreas:
The pancreas is normal in size. The gland has a homogeneous echotexture and isoechoic to the liver.
The pancreatic duct is not dilated. The contour of the pancreas is smooth, with no evidence of focal lesions or masses.
The surrounding peripancreatic region is unremarkable, with no fluid collections noted.
Spleen:
The spleen is normal in size. The organ has a smooth, well-defined contour and a homogeneous echotexture that is isoechoic to the liver.
The splenic hilum is well-visualized, with no evidence of vascular abnormalities. No perisplenic fluid or other surrounding abnormalities were noted.
Kidney:
Both kidneys are normal in size. The kidneys are bean-shaped with smooth, well-defined contours.
The renal parenchyma is homogeneous and slightly hypoechoic relative to the liver, with good corticomedullary differentiation.
The renal sinuses are echogenic with no evidence of calculi or dilation.
The renal pelvis and calyces are not dilated, and the perinephric areas are unremarkable, with no fluid collections noted.
Prostate:
The prostate gland is enlarged, Measuring a volume of 35.6ml.
The gland has a heterogeneous echotexture with evidence of nodular hyperplasia, particularly in the transitional zone.
The peripheral zone appears compressed, but no discrete hypoechoic lesions are identified.
The prostatic capsule is intact but stretched.
The post-void residue is about 16ml.
