There is only one Red Special and you probably can't have it. Fortunately, however, the very clever Dr. Brian Harold May, CBE has started his own company that produces fine and modernised replicas of his six-string masterpiece - BMG. Current versions feature chambered mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, Graphtech nut and zero fret, ebony fingerboard, Grover locking tuners, Burn Tri-Sonic pickups, Wilkinson knife-edge tremolo with brass saddles, 24" scale and 9.8" radius. These are slick, versatile and great looking guitars that also just happen to deliver the signature Brian May sound in spades. My specimen is white but there are blue, brown, green and classic red versions as well.
