STORYLINE:
At least two explosions lit up the night sky over the Gaza Strip late on Monday, even as the fragile ceasefire continued to hold in the enclave.

It was unclear what caused the blasts, but Israel has been carrying out strikes in response to what it has called violations of the truce.

Both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the deal.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says the Palestinian death toll has surpassed 70,000 since the Israel-Hamas war began on October 7, 2023.

The toll has continued to rise after the latest ceasefire took effect on October 10.
