Nairn Falls Provincial Park in British Columbia

Описание к видео Nairn Falls Provincial Park in British Columbia

In this video, we explore Nairn Falls Provincial Park in British Columbia.

Nairn Falls is located just a few kilometers outside of Pemberton. There is plenty of parking and campgrounds for those traveling from far away and wish to stay the night.

If you have plans to visit Nairn Falls, please look online and make sure there is bookings available. The best time to visit this provincial park is during the week, weekends at Nairn Falls are extremely busy and not recommended.

The hike to Nairn Falls is fairly easy and can be done by most individuals. The trail is narrow, if you don't feel comfortable coming into close proximity to other people, please do not visit Nairn Falls as you will surely get up close and personal with other people.

This is one of my favorite provincial parks in British Columbia. Nairn Falls has a rare type of boa constrictor that is difficult to spot, it hangs out near the water edge, keep your eyes open. This provincial park has a wild variety of plant and animal specials, you can even find wild blueberries.

If you don't know 100% what a blueberry bush looks like, don't pick it as there are similar plants that are poisonous, and even a small dose can cause paralysis, kidney failure and kill you.

The waterfalls and rapids at Nairn Falls are breathtaking, make sure you pack a camera and a lunch to have a snack at the end of the hike and take in the beauty of this magical place.

Just 20 minutes north of Whistler, and located within the boundaries of the Village of Pemberton, just 5 minutes from Pemberton town center, is Nairn Falls Park. This park provides a good base camp for exploring Whistler, the Pemberton Valley or nearby Garibaldi Provincial Park.

It is an excellent overnight stop before continuing onto the Duffey Lake Road or points north or south. The falls are 60 m high and a 1.5 km hiking trail will take you to the viewpoint.

Established Date: April 4, 1966
Park Size: 170 hectares
