Sometimes you just get the feeling that you’re going to have a great night. Arriving at Blackbrook Barns in Lichfield to perform at the wedding reception of Elaine and Lee, we could see that the party had already started – guests outside, having fun, good times. To be fair we kind of knew in advance that we are in for a good time as bride Elaine had asked us to help run some party games during the wedding breakfast ad she wanted her guests to have fun as soon as they arrived, which we think is a really nice touch.

Elaine and Lee hired HARD TO HANDLE as their Staffordshire wedding band after a lengthy trawl of various wedding entertainment online. In fact bride and groom had found us during their initial search, loved our mix of music, sense of energy and massive playlist! Though they enquired with other bands, they realised that:

hiring professional function bands can be really expensive, with sliding scales of charges dependent on performance time, day of the week, additional DJ music, learning song requests
some bands have quite limited playlist of 50 or less songs which means that your guests might not like all of the songs they play
many professional Staffordshire wedding bands can only be hired through entertainment agencies, adding to the overall cost (with the agency being paid an additional commission)
these entertainment agencies will not let you talk to the band you are interested in hiring until you have paid the commission

And so Elaine and Lee found that the trust they had placed in us to provide their wedding entertainment was very well placed. For six hours, we alternated between live band sets, DJ sets and helped facilitate the all-important wedding breakfast party games*. There was a full dance floor all night and 150 deliriously happy wedding guests…which is why you can see huge smiling faces from bride and groom!
