On Monday, 3rd March 2025, European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, visited Singapore to exchange views on ways to strengthen cooperation on data protection, digitalisation and consumer protection online.

This was the first visit by a Commissioner in the new European Commission mandate.

During his time here, Commissioner McGrath delivered a Keynote Address at the Singapore Management University, engaging with students, youth and faculty on empowering businesses and consumers in the digital age.

It has been our pleasure to welcome Commissioner McGrath.
