So what is the difference between a birth plan or a preference list? Which one did you go for? Why and why not? Which one is better than the other?

As pregnancy progresses, you want to think of how you can convey your hopes and aspirations to your care provider. Be it the midwife or gynaecologist. Now for many having a plan gives them a bit of control. Having a plan shows they are informed and educated about their options

But why is it important to go with a preference list as opposed to plan?
