President Joe Biden is addressing the nation for the first time since his administration rolled out its new $1.75 trillion Build Back Better proposal. Although significantly pared down from the original $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill Biden had pushed in previous months, the package does contain several notable policies like universal pre-K, an expanded child tax credit, a Medicare benefit covering the cost of hearing, and several pieces of climate action. Biden will be heading to Europe for the COP26 climate conference shortly after this speech.
