**Seeing that Denji has agreed to their cause of stopping Yoru, Miri informs him of the strategies they've devised but the former continues to stare at the Death Devil's panties. As Death stops exposing her belly and sits back down, Denji is told to rest in the nurse's office in preparation for the upcoming battle. While resting there, Denji thinks about his current predicament and wonder if he'll be alright. Thinking back to the time Yoru kissed him and the Death Devil's panties, Denji wonders if it's alright to masturbate here but is interrupted by Fumiko Mifune hiding under his hospital bed. Fumiko attempts to convince Denji that the Death Devil is only using him and questions what'll happen if the War Devil were to be defeated. Denji counters this by mentioning how Death helped carry him to safety. Fumiko then informs him Death had killed her multiple times alongside her colleagues. Denji is confused as Fumiko is right here, alive and well. He then learns that the reason Fumiko is still active is due to the worldwide contract she made with the STD Devil at the age of 14. Fumiko clarifies that any human who had sexual intercourse with her became a duplicate in both mind and body. After forming that contract, she continued making more contracts worldwide, resulting in each country now having its own Fumiko duplicate. However, Fumiko laments that with the ongoing chaos, many of her duplicates have fallen, though they continue to routinely exchange information among themselves. She explains that wars are breaking out and countless lives are perishing, even without the War Devil's and Death Devil’s involvement respectively. She then adds that if Denji were to consume Death, humanity would exist forever. Denji listens as she goes on to explain that the reason Yoru has not turned him into a weapon is because she loves him. Fumiko concludes by telling him that even in a deathless world, he still has a chance to secure a happy life with Yoru. Fumiko then requests Denji, on her behalf, to ask Yoru to extend her mercy to her as well. Though initially skeptical of Fumiko's motives upon realizing she is lying to him, Denji is given a nude photo of her before she leaves the scene. As he continues lying in bed, Denji tells himself that Fumiko really is a "good girl".
