Mackinac Island Michigan – Carriage Ride & Biking The Perimeter Road

Mackinac Island is unlike any other place we've ever been! The lack of motorized transportation feels like a step back in time. In this Michigan Vlog we ride the Star Line Ferry out under the Mackinac Bridge, get to drive our own horse carriage, and ride bikes all the way around the perimeter road. After a beautiful lunch stop at British Landing we continue on through the worst swarm of black lake flies we've ever seen! There's really no way to sugar coat that, it was awful. Don't let that scare you away from this amazing place though, it's absolutely worth a visit. Just make sure you plan your trip for a time when the lake flies aren't swarming.
