Описание к видео Stick Welding With Wet E6010 Electrodes ! Can You Dip 6010 In The Water?

Can you Dip E6010 into the water, welding with wet 6010 cellulosic electrodes
Two of the significant components of cellulosic flux are carbon and water.
When the arc is engaged the flux is melted and vaporized.
In the ensuing chemical breakdown, the water is split off and the hydrogen reacts and burns with the arc to give a hotter arc and thereby deeper penetration weld.
The oxygen combines with the carbon to form CO2, providing the vital shielding gas for the molten weld puddle. When a flux-covered electrode is soaked for one minute that an exact needed or even a predictable amount of moisture will be taken into the flux. How soluable a flux is to liquid water depends on more variables than you might imagine.

My videos are recorded at working sites in various locations and welding positions.
90% of my welding projects in videos are x-rayed, and if you like to see hands-on projects, welcome!
