Vijaya Singam is a social activist from Hyderabad. She got married at a young age with just Rs 50 as it was an inter caste marriage. Her husband was cooperative and loving. Before her marriage, she aspired to become a Sub Inspector of Police to bring about societal change. However, she couldn't secure the job as she failed the written exam. Today, she is contributing to society as a social activist.
During the pandemic, her husband made poor investments and lost their accumulated wealth, plunging them deep into debt. This challenging period exposed her to abuse, trauma, and depression due to her husband's actions. She never gave up, attending workshops related to mental health and life skills, and ultimately built her career around them.
