I Can't Deal With Stan Culture

I used to think that "separating the art from the artist" justified listening to controversial musicians, like Kanye West, without guilt. This, alongside being part of stan culture for artists like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey, made me defend artists whenever they screwed up. However, since a wake-up call on October 7th, I can no longer do this. In this video, I explain why we should start holding artists accountable for their actions instead of making up reasons to defend them and why stan culture reinforcing this mindset is damaging.
