Born with a hearing impairment, Sunaina Kumari grew up in a world without sound—but never without dreams. Raised in a modest middle-class family in Delhi, her childhood was filled with communication barriers, social exclusion, and constant struggle. While others learned through listening, Sunaina relied on lip-reading, signs, and her unshakable determination to move forward.

Despite limited resources, her parents stood firmly by her side. Her mother learned basic sign language to support her education, and her father worked tirelessly to keep her in school. Through years of perseverance and quiet strength, Sunaina successfully completed her SSC, turning every exam into a victory against the odds.

However, financial challenges forced her to give up her dream of higher education. Determined to support her family, she stepped into the job market—only to face repeated rejection. Employers saw her hearing disability and academic limitations, but failed to see her honesty, dedication, and potential. Each rejection hurt, yet Sunaina refused to give up.

Hope arrived when she joined Sarthak Educational Trust – Delhi Center’s online training program.

In a supportive and inclusive environment, Sunaina rebuilt her confidence. With patient trainers and adaptive learning methods, she developed communication skills, digital literacy, interview readiness, and workplace confidence. Most importantly, she rediscovered belief in herself and found a community that truly understood her journey.

Her perseverance paid off when she was selected at Blue Dart as a Warehouse Executive, earning an annual salary of ₹2.28 LPA. For Sunaina, this job meant more than income—it meant dignity, independence, and recognition of her abilities.
