So, what is one of the clearest teachings in the entire Bible? It is one that is actually taught ... very little. But it is one of the most glorious, God- honoring teachings. I sing about it here. :)
And here is the Commentary. Don't miss it!
• "Now That Seems Fair to Me" - Commentary &...
WHO: Lyrics: Me with various Bible passages inserted.
Music: Robin Calamaio
WHAT: Standard Tuning. Acoustic 12 string guitar.
WHEN: 1981.
WHERE: Fort Lauderdale Street Gospel Mission, Ft Lauderdale, FL
WHY: I had been singing "The Mighty One" regularly there ... and as it was a sober song about The Judgment, I had begun to feel a little "gun shy" about that aggressive message. I had prayed and asked God to help me with this - and then this song came together. Part of it was He reminded me of my early days in the Bible where I was arrested by the thought that One who had been unrighteously framed and murdered by men (Jesus) was going to be on the other side of death's door as The Judge. I said, "Now that seems fair to me. That seems right! What else does this Book have to say?" I have been hooked since the fall of 1976 and this insight God granted was somewhere in the first six months of reading the Bible (as I actually didn't become a Christian until April 17, 1977).
What a great, unfathomable Creator we have.
