A tour of ROBERTSON, South Africa - History, Wine Farms & Activities!

Описание к видео A tour of ROBERTSON, South Africa - History, Wine Farms & Activities!

Hi everyone! In this video, I explore the town of Robertson, approximately a two hour drive east from Cape Town, South Africa. It is situated next to the Breede (or Bree) River and the Langeberg Mountains.

The vlog starts with me talking about my connection to the town before discussing the origin of the name at the Dutch Reformed Church, and a brief history about farming in the area in various locations.

I visit Van Loveren Family Vineyards before driving about 20 kilometres outside Robertson, where I talk about the significance of the Cogmanskloof (or Kogmanskloof) Pass and how it connected Robertson to the wider area. I then visit another wine estate in Viljoensdrift where the Seagull Regatta took place.

Back in Robertson town, I walk in some residential streets to get an idea of how people live and the architecture. A visit to Bird's Paradise, an animal park is next on the cards where I view and interact with several birds from around the world!

I then walk along Voortrekker Road, which is one of the main streets in the town. I give more details about the population, the economy and the railways. I stop for lunch at Four Cousins before returning to the Dutch Reformed Church where the sexton shows me parts of the interior and where I give more details about the history of the church itself.

I hope you enjoy this vlog about Robertson! If you haven't done it yet, please hit the LIKE and SUBSCRIBE buttons, and leave a COMMENT for me in the comments section. This really helps me out with the algorithm and is free to do so!

Happy exploring!
