Since 1 February 2020, Saab has ensured the civilian part of the operation of the Army Combat Training Centre (‘GÜZ’) through our wholly owned subsidiary Saab Training and Simulation GmbH.

In the field of military training, Saab's Training & Simulation business unit is the clear market leader in Europe and is represented at over 30 locations worldwide in direct cooperation with the defence forces of the respective countries. This also applies to the ‘GÜZ’, the German Army's central training centre for training and certification for operations.

This is where land-based operations are practised in cooperation with various forces, including other NATO partners, and with the help of simulation technology that replaces live firing. Directly integrated into military operations, we provide technical and logistical support for the simulation systems for personnel and vehicles, materials management for 100,000 individual parts including weapons and ammunition and fleet management including maintenance of the approximately 400 military vehicles on site at the ‘GÜZ’.
