A theological college birthed behind bars – this was how Singapore's first seminary Trinity Theological College was started. Today, it celebrates its 71st anniversary. During the World War II years, interned church leaders in Changi Prison discussed the idea to train local Christians to serve the church.

Trinity Theological College’s beginnings is just one of the many milestones in Singapore’s church history since the British colonialists arrived in 1819.

Historian Dr Ernest Chew took us through the significant periods for the Church over the past 200 years, marked by perseverance in suffering, but also tremendous growth.
