Islamabad (Pakistan): The International Monetary Fund has set 11 new conditions for Pakistan to meet in order to receive the next tranche of its bailout package, according to the Express Tribune. The IMF's Staff Level report, released on Saturday, warns that escalating tensions between India and Pakistan could further jeopardize Pakistan's fiscal and economic stability, potentially hindering progress on key reform goals. On May 9, the IMF reviewed its lending program for Pakistan, approving a $1 billion disbursement under the Extended Fund Facility, along with a potential $1.3 billion Resilience and Sustainability Facility. This approval brings total disbursements to $2 billion within Pakistan’s $7 billion loan package. (ANI)
