Derail Valley is a highly immersive train driving simulation made by a small team.

We are making Derail Valley out of our passion to help improve train sims and VR as much as we can. Back in the day, as a couple of friends, we used to play train sims. While initially it was a lot of fun, as time passed by, they didn't age all that well in our eyes. A point came where we somewhat jokingly said that we could make a better train sim. Then VR came out, lacking games with large, open worlds and long, emergent gameplay.

We thought merging the two would be great. Many years later here we are with Derail Valley. Still in development, very ambitious and posing many obstacles to overcome, but it does feature some notable improvements to the genre:

Ultimate level of immersion and interaction with VR
Proper derailment physics
Huge world with hundreds of kilometers of tracks
Open-world-like gameplay with career building
Simple instructions for people new to trains
Dynamic, engaging gameplay
