"I put a lot of passion into the things I do and have a lot of respect for others who do the same. Pushing their limits, raising the bar, seeking perfection and always trying to outdo themselves. I love that! This is what makes SJC Custom Drums so special to me for the many years I’ve been playing their drums. With every new kit, every new snare they strive for perfection and try to outdo what they’ve done before. My friend Ken Block is another great example... always raising the bar and accomplishing such great things while never being complacent, never slowing down (literally). Recently Mike Ciprari & I were talking about Kens new Amazon series “The Gymkhana Files”. Such a well done documentary series about the making of Ken Blocks already legendary Gymkhana 10 video. We were inspired and excited about it all he wanted to do another snare based on Kens iconic vehicles. A few years back SJC made 2 snares for Ken & I both that were based on my favorite livery for my favorite car of his at the time. You’ll find this drum on stage with my all year as I tour extensively with Rancid.
