No, I did not spend the night parked over the east portals at Tunnelhill in what was now 13-degree weather, I just paid another visit on the morning of the 19th while I ate breakfast. I may be an idiot (and I may have heated seats in the car), but I'm not a fool. Okay, maybe just a bit of one for standing out in the snow in the first place, but I was well insulated.

The light was fading fast on the 18th as 5 o'clock approached. Sadly I didn't capture a westbound like I hoped, but I did manage an eastbound stack train with a trio of GEs leading. However cold it might be, the lack of foliage makes this the ideal time of year for this spot, as you can watch the trains wrap around the mountainside given a long enough consist.

The morning of the 19th kicked off with a westbound tease from a light helper set, but soon after the scene from the evening before repeated itself, this time with trailers and an EMD sandwiched between the GEs on the head end. It looked as if 'sunrise' was just going to be a relative term this day.
