So season 1 of Battlefield 6 is basically over and I thought now would be a good time to reflect on how it went and what could be improved or changed. As I talk about in the video, the main thing I want to see is more of a story. I truly believe that the best games are ones that have a consistent internal narrative that inspires the developers to be more creative and more attached to the content they produce. I think having a stronger sense of story would also help with other key aspects of the seasonal content that was a bit lacking with season 1, particularly the skins and cosmetics, some of which were fine or even very good in my opinion, while others were very poor.

Battlefield 6 IS fun. It plays well and overall I have enjoyed my time played. But it is also VERY generic. It doesn't take chances, it doesn't innovate, it doesn't play like a shooter I've never experienced. That, to me, is Battlefield 6's greatest shortcoming, and I think incorporating more of a story into the game would help set it on a path of being more unique and more inspired, rather than being generic and familiar.

There are plenty of other design choices they could make to make the game feel less generic, many of which we've seen in previous battlefield games:
More Sandbox Elements
Better Squadplay Elements
Dynamic Weather
Random Time of Day
Different Lore Scenarios
Etc.

At the very least, we need MORE MAPS!
