Grey-headed flying foxes are a keystone species and play a significant ecological role in the pollination of many native Australian Plant species. I recorded these clips on a hot summer morning of thousands of these beautiful fruit bats that roost at Yarra Bend Park, not far from Melbourne's CBD in Australia. Unfortunately they are a vulnerable species & conservation efforts are crucial to try to stabilise their population, which has declined by 95% over the last century.
