This was such a cool flight! About 10 mins later and the cloud had gone, I just got it right with the timing!🙌

I ditched the action camera, and used 2x 8S 21700 P50b lithium Ion packs in parallel to give a 10000mah 80c pack. Having tested this configuration earlier in the weekend (20km in 16mins), I knew it would allow some time on the Ridgeline, as well as making it there and back with mah to spare.

The packs weigh about 650g each, so the AUW is 2.26kg with this parallel battery setup. Its heavy, but thrust given by the Amax 2810 950kv motors is enough for some reasonably nimble flying in the dives, although I'm definitely thinking about building an 8 or 9 inch around this pack(s)...

I'll put together a video of a range test with telemetry later in the week, but they give 140A max when needed (more than my lipos), and cruise around 25-30A at 50% throttle.
