February 9, 2024 - This is Day (105) One Hundred and fifth of the Wings CRS-Hurricane Otis - Guerrero Mexico - Emergency Feeding Mission.
Due to Hurricane Otis, thousands were left without homes, food, or shelter. 105 days later, emergency feeding and catastrophe response efforts are still underway. Let's come together to help those affected by this disaster in Guerrero, Mexico and provide aid to prevent starvation and homelessness for refugees.
The status to date. The media is still silent. The government is not assisting due to political fighting. And apparently all aid groups but ours has been warned to back-off, as our team has seen nor heard of any relief groups working in the state.
During this experience our team experienced a frightening night that is too common for these families Our team has learned that since Category 5 Hurricane Otis struck this state, many of the children become fearful every time the wind blows or a storm approach. Fearful that another hurricane and its terror is repeating itself again.
There are many more communities within the state of Guerrero which desperately need these life-saving pantries which include such essential items as tuna, milk, rice, pasta, salad, cereal, oil, soap and more. If you remember the day our team assembled to start this mission in the mountainous region, our team had to relocate to a safer area on the outskirts of Acapulco, after 3 team members were murdered, along with 4 journalists in separate incidents. And without the voice of the international media to make the world aware of this massive humanitarian crisis, our feeding mission is working with both hands tied behind our backs against being able to convince a world that there is a dire need to save lives in critical status.
Saving every community within our reach is our first mission, but I also need to inform you that beyond the crisis that exists in Guerrero today, there is an even greater crisis looming that potentially could develop into an even more widespread and deadlier catastrophe.
Many days ago, our team noticed vultures flying overhead. There are reports of bodies dead from disease and starvation being piled upon the mountains of storm debris in the streets throughout Acapulco and the state.
And to make matters even worse, is the increase of infectious disease from debris, the death toll will also continue to rise due to apathy, distraction, politics and self-interests. As I reported last week, the only outcome on the horizon is the state of Guerrero could become a deadly mass graveyard within just a few weeks unless there is swift, effective mitigation, in which case if there were not then Guerrero would become ground zero for a deadly outbreak of disease and pestilence of apocalyptic proportions that could easily spread far beyond Guerrero and Mexico's borders. This has already become true as reports of a deadly bite caused by fly insects have been discovered in Texas.
This scenario is a potential horror straight out of the Book of Revelations that could affect us all, and frighteningly, the reality is this disaster is developing now!
So, we at Wings CRS are sounding the alarm and are asking you to take action now to save these lives before it is too late! We are asking the Mexican government and other government leaders to take swift and decisive action now to save humanity.
And just fiftyfive (55) dollars will purchase one pantry of food and hygiene supplies for an average family of four in Guerrero who are in dire need of food and hygiene supplies today! All things are possible if we together will believe and act now to save lives!
We ask you now, What is One Life Worth?
Please act now to send your gift of life today to wings-crs.org /donate. And whether you can donate or not, it is important that everyone participate in reposting and sharing this video and other videos to help make awareness of this humanitarian crisis for which the international media is not. Help us save these fragile lives today and may God bless you from Wings CRS.
