Detailed Steps:
The Wall
1. Paint or seal all of the wood planks prior to construction and let dry.
2. Make sure to choose an area where the ground is clear of utility lines and/or pipes. Dig two holes for your posts using the post hole digger. The holes should be distanced so that the posts measure exactly 8’ in between from outer edge to outer edge. Dig down at least 3’ from the surface for a sturdy set.
3. Set the posts using the pea gravel or concrete.
4. If desired, create a safe space for water runoff by digging out the grass between the posts and replacing with pea gravel, or by using a trough to catch water runoff.
5. At the edges of each 2x4, pre-drill 2 holes, one on top of the other, using the ⅛" drill bit. Each 2x4 should have a total of 4 pre-drilled holes.
6. Measure 48-1/2 inches from the top of the post. This marks the baseline of where you’ll begin mounting your boards. Use a level to make sure that the board is straight. Repeat this step for the remaining planks, placing each plank so that there is about 1 1/2” of space in between each. You can use a scrap piece of 2x4 to help measure.

The Water Source:
1. From a stick of 3/4 PVC pipe, cut a 4” piece. Attach a 3/4''-1/2'' adapter on one end and a 3/4'' elbow on the other end.
2. Screw in a 3/4"-1/2” brass hose adapter into 1/2 side of the pvc 3/4”- ½” adapter.
3. Use the 58'' pvc pipe and stick it into the elbow that is connected to the 4'' piece.
4. Attach another elbow to the other end of the 58'' pipe.
5. Test the fit assembly on the left 4x4 post of your build wall.
6. If all fits appropriate, prime and glue pieces together using PVC Primer and PVC Cement.
7. Attach the full assembly to your water wall by using 3/4 conduit clamps and 1 1/4'' deck screws on the left water wall post.
8. Place the 4'' pvc pipe into the elbow coming out of the top of the wall.
9. On the other end of the 4'' pipe, fit a tee and insert 3 1/2'' into the front, pointing towards the front of the wall. Place an elbow on the other end of 3 1/2'' piece, then a 2'' piece into the other side of the elbow. Lastly, put a 3/4' 'ball valve pointing towards the ground.
10. On the empty side of tee coming off your 4'' piece insert 37'' pipe.
11. On the other end of the 37'' pvc, fit a tee and insert 3 1/2'' into front of it pointing toward the front of the wall. Place an elbow on the other end of 3 1/2'' piece, a 2'' piece into the other side of the elbow, and then 3/4'' ball valve pointing toward the ground.
12. On the empty side of tee coming off your 37'' piece, insert another 37'' pipe.
13. On the other end of 37'' pipe fit an elbow and insert 3 1/2'' into the other side of the elbow pointing toward the front of the wall. Then, place an elbow on the other end of the 3 1/2'' piece, a 2'' piece into the other side of the elbow, and then a 3/4'' ball valve pointing towards the ground.
14. Once all together take apart to prime and glue each step in place.
15. When finished gluing attach 3 1/2'' pvc running perpendicular to top 2x4 with 3/4'' conduit clamps onto 2x4.
16. Attach a garden hose and check for leak

Gutter Brackets:
1. Make a master template by drawing the gutter profile with a combo square.
2. Use the jigsaw with a scroll saw blade to cut the profile.
3. Use this bracket as master copy to trace and cut as many brackets as needed.

Gutter Troughs:
1. Use the measuring tape and pencil to mark the gutter at 3’ and use a hacksaw to cut the gutter at the 3' mark.
2. Cap off desired end of gutter using a gutter cap.
3. Place the gutters onto the brackets.
