Our caravan is 2nd hand and after 15 years of use it has started giving us multiple issues. This time after months of exploring Spain we are experiencing a lot of issues relating to electricity/solar energy system to have everything running: charge our laptops, mobiles, switching fans, lights, alarms, camera etc. At first we thought it is an issue of the battery that intakes the power from regulator connected with the solar panel. But after days of observation we realized that it is of our pre-installed low-potent solar panels. We could have just replaced the old panels with the same model, but solar panels are pricey, and installation can be a real headache due to their weight. However, we didn’t want to compromise on energy efficiency to be able to work from anywhere, after plenty of research and considering our needs we finally decided to go for the most advanced solar solution available today. Though it did make a big hole in our pockets as they are filthy expensive but I guess we are ready to take that chance. The ¨BougeRV CIGS Flexible solar panel¨ with better watts and guaranteed expected energy production. This solar panel is only 2kg in weight (lightest) & 200W 12V. Now, the real challenge was DIY installation process-removing the old panel and preparing for the new one while understanding our space availability. After we placed one solar panel, we thought to add another and we ended up buying one more. We loved its performance so much and the fact that is lightest and flexible in nature that helps us balance the weight of the stuff within our caravan.
