Rest in peace Bernard Belle. He was an American songwriter, producer and musician. Belle was the brother of famous American R&B singer Regina Belle. Bernard became known for his partnership with producer Teddy Riley. He began working with Teddy in 1986. Together they became pioneers of the new jack swing style. Belle became world-renowned for his collaborations with the King of Pop Michael Jackson. He co-wrote and produced for Jackson tracks such as "Remember the Time", "Privacy" and "Why You Wanna Trip on Me". Belle has also written and produced for other artists such as Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Brackstreet, Patti LaBelle, Aaron Hall, Keith Sweat, Al B. Sure! Hi-Five and Today. Belle is co-author of New jack swing classics such as "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)", Do Me Right", "Get Away" among many other hits that boosted the musical career of several music stars in the decades of 80 and 90. In 1994, Belle started working with gospel music and became one of the most sought after producers/musicians by artists of this style. He performed with Donnie McClurkin, Shirley Caesar, Richard Smallwood, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Tye Tribbett, Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker and BeBe & CeCe Winans. Belle's name has appeared on over 70 million records worldwide as a producer, writer, or musician. four Grammy Awards, one American Music Award, two Soul Train Music Awards, more than a dozen ASCAP Awards and nominations for Stella and GMA Dove Awards. Bedridden for a long time due to a stroke Belle never recovered and passed away today June 22 due to the sequels of the long illness here.
