Magnificently supported by Australian and New Zealand artillery, and eventually relieved by armour, D Company, 6RAR, were lucky to survive.

After four hours of intense battle, 18 Australians and maybe 250 enemy lay dead on the battlefield.

DANGER CLOSE – The Battle of Long Tan crams as much action and (apparently) as much accuracy as possible into an intense 118 minutes of movie magic.

If you are a war-movie fan, with little or no knowledge of the subject – you will be mightily entertained.

Even most of you who have a good knowledge, understanding or sympathy with the subject will enjoy this great movie (especially if you can leave your nit-picking brain outside).
