For my February TBR, I’m once again letting Illumicrate prompt cards choose the books I’ll be reading this month. This TBR turned out to be moody, emotionally intense, and surprisingly cohesive, with a mix of dark fantasy, literary fiction, mythology, sci-fi, and tragic romance.

The picks include witchy horror, post-apocalyptic sci-fi, war-torn fantasy, and stories of human resilience, all feeding into a theme of tragedy and heartbreak this month. Of course, romance also plays a big role, with Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë (classic / toxic romance, perfectly timed with the new movie adaptation) and two Taylor Jenkins Reid novels exploring grief, loss, and fading love.
