Frollo/Belle/John Rolfe maskings ( with a few exceptions ) are not mine!

Plot:
( not shown ) Belle is betrothed to John Rolfe and expected to wed him but something unexpected turns up and he has to travel across seas for business. Leaving Belle in the care of an Frollo, an old friend of his father. They eventually start up a secret affair behind his back...

Frollo receives word that John is returning much sooner than expected, starting the wedding much sooner than the two lovers expected. John gets off the ship with Frollo waiting by the docks for him. Rolfe goes to speak to Belle, chastising her for walking amongst peasants and dressing in their clothes. Belle argues back but soon Frollo comes up behind her and compliments and flirts with Belle, quite openly in front of Rolfe who grows curious to their relationship. Frollo invites Belle to his estate for a private ball and she eagerly accepts, bidding him goodbye until then.

She arrives, dawns her ball gown and they dance the night away. Eventually succumbing to their lust and having sex. Later that night they get dressed again and go sit out on the balcony, reflecting upon their relationship the night before the wedding. Belle cares for Rolfe but is in love with Frollo and can't bear the idea of marrying him but is afraid of calling it off. Frollo just smiles and gives her a kiss, reassuring that she'll have him.

The next day follows and Belle is to wed Rolfe. He is happy to see his beautiful wife and walks to the altar. Whispering sweet nothings into her ears and telling her she's beautiful. Belle realizes that Rolfe only loves her for her beauty and almost calls off the wedding by rejecting Rolfe's kiss after he said his I do. But Frollo jumps at the chance, as he cannot take watching them anymore.

They argue but eventually Rolfe realizes his grave mistake and ignorant views. He lets go of Belle's hand, calling off the wedding and letting her go. Now Belle is free to wed and be with Frollo, leaving Rolfe sad and alone.
