Jaane n jaane gul hi n jaane, baag to saara jaane hai

Charagari bemari-e-dil ki rasm-e-shahr-e-husn nahin
Varna dilbar-e-nadan bhi is dard ka chara jaane hai

Mehr o vafa o lutf-o-inayat ek se vaqif in me nahin
Aur to sab kuchh tanz o kinaya ramz o ishara jaane hai
