About My Grandmother's Heart - Heart Callenge Quilt.

This is the 3rd quilt that I am entering into the local quilt show. It is from the Heart Challenge that was displayed in the local Leslie Powell Art Gallery in downtown Lawton, Oklahoma during February 2025.

This was my first self crafted pattern. That is what I love about challenge quilts - they challenge me to try new things and think creatively.

I decided that I wanted to only use fabric I had from my grandma. I was making this in memory of her. I originally designed the pattern to be a gradient of dark pink to light pink. I didn't like the way it looked when I played it out so I tired a few different layouts and I chose this one.

This quilt will be displayed in the challenge section of the upcoming Wichita Mountains Quilt Guild Quilt show from February 13 and 14, 2026 at the Comanche County Fair Grounds in Lawton, OK.
